Description & Requirements

Responsible for:
• All culinary operations of Restaurant The Pen including related events
• Exceeding our guests’ culinary expectations and food & hygiene standards
• Recruiting, on-boarding,training, scheduling and leading the culinary team of The Pen
• Design, implement and improve the Menu Strategy for lunch, dinner and special events

• You have a completed degree in culinary level 3 or 4, MasterChef qualification is a big plus
• Reports to the Food & Beverage Manager and works closely with the Restaurant Manager
• Interpersonal skills: team worker, hospitable, communicative, flexible and motivator
• Min. 2 years experience as Chef de Cuisine in a busy independent Fine Dining Restaurant or 2 years as Sous Chef in a luxury resort environment and able to work evening shifts, weekends and holidays

Key qualifications include:
• Modern Regional Cuisine and Culinary Events
• Farm to Fork cooking, Circularity and Menu Engineering
• Experience in the (Dutch) Caribbean is a big plus
