WILLEMSTAD – The Avila Beach Hotel has achieved a new record with the Online Booking website Expedia. The oldest operating hotel on the island is the first non-inclusive hotel on Curacao that has reached the US $ 1 million in room revenue through Expedia within one year (already in October).
The hotel has invested heavily in recent years in the renovation of its hotel rooms, private beach and restaurants & bars. Earlier this year, the façade of the original villa and the La Belle Alliance wing with 40 hotel rooms were completely renovated. The Avila Beach Hotel also launched a new online strategy in 2016 that is increasingly paying off. General Manager Robbin Vogels: “Most online bookings arrive via our own website, but we see that the hotel is gaining popularity globally, especially through the large online booking websites such as Expedia and we are very happy and proud of that.
