Willemstad, March 8th 2015 – The graduation ceremony of the Level 1 Portuguese Class was held at CHATA member Chogogo Resort. During this event the various graduates were recognized and celebrated for their continuous effort in learning a foreign language.
The classes were given by Mr. Sixto Walle during the course of 5 months. Mr. Walle spoke highly of the graduates and expects all of them to sign up for the Level 2 classes. Portuguese is a Romance language and the sole official language of Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-‑ Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, and São Tomé and Príncipe. Portuguese is spoken by approximately 250 million people across the world.
Lizanne Dindial, President & CEO of CHATA believes that “On a day such as this where we celebrate International Women’s Day it gives great joy to see plenty of women educating themselves. Education and determination is the leading factor in success. Without it we may never reach our goals. In the future CHATA plans to provide German and Spanish classes as well to increase the language proficiency in the hospitality sector’’.
