WILLEMSTAD- On February 27, Coral Restoration Foundation Curaçao signed a partnership agreement with Avila Beach Hotel to repopulate the house reef in front of the hotel.
The project will be for a period of 3 years and will include a 6 tree “pop up” nursery to grow corals to later out plant them on the reef.
Coral Restoration Foundation Curacao has been restoring Curacao reefs for the last 3 years and we have successfully out planted over 5000 Staghorn and Elkhorn corals in the house reef at Lions Dive, Sunscape, Sweet Bottom and Directors Bay.
“We will be celebrating our 4th anniversary this coming May and this partnership with Avila Beach Hotel is the perfect way to celebrate another anniversary” as quoted by PolBosch, CRFC Project Manager.
