The Netherlands, January 20th, 2016 – Travel agency Corendon is bringing candidates, crew members and judges of the “Idols” talent show to Curaçao. Over 60 people will reside a short week in the all-inclusive hotel Kunuku Aqua Resort located in Sint Willibrordus. The candidates will compete on the island for the highly desired tickets to compete in the next round. Recordings of the show will take place at the hotel and various locations on the island. Dick Gussen, Marketing Manager of Corendon says: “We are delighted to bring the “Idols” to Curaçao. We are more than happy to cooperate with the recordings so that we can let the viewers experience all the beautiful things that Curaçao has to offer”.
Corendon and Curaçao
In cooperation with KLM, Corendon is going to fly daily to Curaçao this summer. Corendon is one of the biggest suppliers of packaged trips for Curaçao and brings around 20.000 Dutch and Belgium holiday seekers yearly to the island. At Corendon, the month of January is all about Curaçao. The travel agency has started a marketing campaign together with popular radio stations Radio 538 and Sky Radio. Every day this week, Sky radio listeners have the opportunity to win a trip for 4 persons to Curaçao.
Broadcasting
Television station RTL 5 will be broadcasting Idols starting Wednesday, February 1st. Beside the audition and theater rounds, two additional episodes will be recorded on Curaçao. The Judges of Idols 2017 are Jamai Loman, Ronald Molendijk, Eva Simons and Martijn Krabbé. The presentation of this talent show will be in the hands of Ruben Nicolai and Lieke van Lexmond.
