Earlier this week, the Curaçao Hospitality and Tourism Association (CHATA), in collaboration with Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP) and the Curaçao Tourism Board (CTB), announced the commencement of the North America Trade Symposium (NATS) from October 28 to October 31, 2024. This event was specially designed for over 20 influential North American and Canadian tour operators, including JetBlue Vacations, Hopper, WestJet, and OTS Global.
Throughout the symposium, CHATA, CAP, and CTB curated an itinerary combining business and leisure, showcasing Curaçao’s beauty, vibrant culture, and premier accommodations while fostering connections between operators and local hotel representatives.
To close the symposium, a special dinner at the Cathedral of Thorns welcomed Minister Cooper from the Ministry of Economic Development and Minister Shelton Hato from the Ministry of Justice, showing continued government support for the tourism industry. General Managers, Tourism Partners, and Tour Operators enjoyed an evening enriched by live performances from Junior Tecla and Nelson Braveheart, and each guest received a goody bag of tokens commemorating their time in Curaçao.
This closing event was powered by Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP) and the Curaçao Tourism Board (CTB) and organized by the Curaçao Hospitality and Tourism Association (CHATA). We also extend our gratitude to the sponsoring hotels: The Rif at Mangrove Beach Corendon Curaçao, Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort, Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort; and tour operators FBTT, TMC, and Fiesta Tours, with special contributions from Lions Dive Beach Resort, Chobolobo, and Chichi. A heartfelt thank you to all.
The tour operators attending NATS are poised to promote Curaçao across thousands of connections within their networks. Having experienced Curaçao firsthand, they are now “Curaçao Ambassadors,” equipped with an authentic understanding of the island to share with future travelers, expanding Curaçao’s reach worldwide.
Looking ahead, we are excited to continue hosting this event biennially, enabling tour operators to witness and experience the growth and vibrancy of Curaçao’s hospitality and tourism sector firsthand.
