WILLEMSTAD- February 16, 2018 – The Curaçao Tourist Board together with Curaçao Airport Partners and CHATA gathered for the Caribbean’s largest travel conference during the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association: Caribbean Marketplace held in San Juan, Puerto Rico January 30 to February 1, 2018
This yearly event included participation of 18 Countries, 237 Delegates and 98 Buyers, all with the focus on Caribbean Travel. The Curaçao Tourist Board arranged appointments with some of the major wholesale partners in the industry; including partners such as American Airlines Vacations, Expedia INC, JetBlue Vacations, Apple Leisure Group, WestJet Vacations as well as media partners such as Robb Report, ADARA and TravelZoo just to name a few.
The focus of our discussions during the 2018 CHTA Caribbean Marketplace was to review performance results of 2017, understand the current forecasted production for the destination of Curaçao, define co-op strategies, identify private sector co-op opportunities, and provide a general product update in support to the destination.
In addition to the destination Curaçao, the conference was also attended by private sector tourism partners including: ACOYA Curaçao, Avila Beach Hotel, Hilton Curaçao, Lions Dive & Beach Resort and Renaissance Curaçao Resort & Casino.
