Willemstad (August 19th, 2016) – Yesterday, Dane Ribeiro Rodriguez of Curacao’s Culinary Team and Charlwin ‘’Broertje’’ Marshall traveled to Barranquilla, Colombia. Both chefs will be showcasing their culinary talents to thousands of visitors at Sabor Barranquilla.
Sabor Barranquilla is an annual gastronomy event that started in 2008 that this year will take place from August 19th till the 21st. At this event various chefs throughout the Caribbean and South America will get an opportunity to make signature dishes of their respective countries. Participating countries include Peru, Venezuela, Trinidad and Puerto Rico among others.
Broertje has a lot of experience in the culinary world and has won countless medals over the past year. Dane as the Junior Chef of Curacao’s Culinary Team won a gold medal at this year’s Taste of the Caribbean Competition. Dane will now get the opportunity to learn from Broertje as a preparation for the Taste of the Caribbean competition for next year. Both chefs complement each other very well and will be making ‘’Keshi Yená’’ and ‘’Tutu ku Bakiyou’’ amongst other delicious appetizers and desserts.
