Floris Suite Hotel 15 Year’s Anniversary

WILLEMSTAD – Last Friday, Floris Suite Hotel celebrated its 15th anniversary. There were various performances by DJ Boogieman and AXL & Friends, one-hour complimentary champagne and delicious snacks throughout the evening. At the hotel pool area about 300 people gathered to celebrate this joyous occasion. The celebration was a huge success!

Frank Holtslag, General Manager at Floris Suite Hotel, has welcomed everybody and expressed his appreciation to all guests, staff and especially the staff that was employed for 15 years on August 18th.

Floris Suite Hotel is one of the first hotels built in Piscadera Bay in Willemstad, Curaçao. Floris Suite Hotel is built in 1969. It fell under the property of Arthur Frommer and was known as the Arthur Frommer Hotel. After a few years, the name was changed in Las Palmas Hotel. Later, the hotel has been named Floris Suite Hotel. Floris Suite Hotel was owned by the Dutch real estate entrepreneur Peter Grouwels but he sold the hotel in 2008 to US Lionstone Group of the Lowenstein family from Miami.

In 2012 it was decided to proceed with a different concept; ‘Adult only’. This means that guests of 18 years and older are welcome in the hotel. The hotel is also a leader in the Caribbean for the LGBT traveler. The hotel organizes every Friday Rainbow Lounge and the annual Curacao Pride event.
