Willemstad, February 4, 2020 – Recently, the Minister of Economic Development, Mrs. Giselle Mc William received a recommendations report from the commission of ‘Advies Commissie Curaçao Tourism Authority’.
The commission consists of the following members, Curaçao Tourism Board (CTB), Minister of Economic Development (MEO), Minister of Finance and Curaçao Hospitality & Tourism Association (CHATA).
The purpose of the commission was to evaluate the possible transformation of the organization, Curaçao Tourism Development Foundation (CTDF), into an organization that would function more independently in the judicial, economic, financial and organizational areas.
The commission was established as a result of the recommendation of the Government Agreement (2017-2021), the Tourism Master Plan (2015-2020), the ‘Groeistrategie’ report from October 2018, and a letter from the current CTDF board to MEO.
