Survey for Business Stakeholders: Recent Economic Developments and Expected Issues Regarding the Impact of COVID-19 on the Local Curaçao Economy

On behalf of the the Ministry of Economic Development and the Curaçao Chamber of Commerce, we would like to invite all business stakholders to complete this survey of which the objective is to obtain reliable and valid information on the economic situation of companies and entrepreneurs in Curaçao before and during the lockdown. This survey is also meant to gain perspective on their short, medium and long-term expectations.

Moreover, this survey seeks to acquire information on the (expected) loss of income and permanent damage suffered by businesses/entrepreneurs that could not be recovered due to the loss of commerce during this period, along with the anticipated change in consumer behavior.

In addition, information on the foreseen challenges/risks and/or restrictions you will be confronted with, will assist the government to response and determine methods/strategies to eliminate or mitigate possible bottlenecks in order to reactivate economic activities in this new normal.

Specific answers will also be sought from survey questions regarding cyclical and structural economic development and the degree of innovation and resilience required, to bring the economy back to life and to maintain jobs in the short and medium term and to achieve sustainable growth in the longer term.

The results of the survey are exclusively intended to identify interventions and incentives to reactivate the economy in the short term and to stimulate it in the longer term. In addition, the results will be used as input for medium and long-term economic estimates

Please click here to complete the survey.

Thank you very much for your participation and collaboration
